The telemetry transmitter is the mobile component of the telemetry system. As a result of modern SMD and hybrid technologies, datatel telemetry transmitters are extremely small and robust and contain all of the miniature precision electronic circuits required to condition the sensor signals and transfer the measured data to the stationary telemetry receiver. Datatel telemetry transmitters are especially designed for rugged industrial environments. Operating temperatures of up to 125 °C, g-loads up to 100,000 g and resistance to vibration, shock, oil and gas atmospheres mean that they are practically unlimited in their applications. Depending on the situation, the power supply for the telemetry transmitter can be inductive or from a battery. A wide range of standard designs are available which can either be mounted directly onto the test component or attached using custom-designed hardware. Customer-specified special shapes are available on request. The illustrations show some of the designs which are available.
