National Oilwell Varco’s 2102A series compression load cell is specifically designed for use in the measurement and monitoring of polished rod loading. It is light weight and portable, with load capacities ranging from 15,000 pounds to 40,000 pounds. Constructed of noncorrosive materials for use in hostile environments, the device is completely sealed, submersible, and impervious to chemical intrusion.

The 2102A is designed for simple installation between the carrier bar and the rod clamp. The transducer provides a millivolt output signal that is proportional to the load being experienced by the polished rod through the entire stroke. The device is temperature compensated to provide a stable signal, under changing environmental conditions, with a nonlinearity of 0.25% Full Scale.
