National Oilwell Varco’s Houston Scientific Model 1955 is a cable actuated, digital, displacement transducer incorporating a torque spirator spring motor to achieve rated acceleration and velocity for displacements from 2 inches through 180 inches. The transducers patented, dual chambered, sealed-body design permits the Model 1955 to be used in a wide variety of hostile environments including wave heave measurement on offshore drilling rigs and underwater applications. The cylindrical body design allows 360-degree rotational alignment of cable departure angle and lateral adjustment for cable positioning.
