This is an intrinsically safe sensor for hydraulic and pneumatic cylinder position feedback. The sensor uses Positek's novel inductive technology, PIPS®, with simple inductive coils and advanced ASIC electronic technology. It should be used with a galvanically isolated barrier The sensor is easy to fit and set up and provides a linear output characteristic with displacement. The DC analogue output signal represents absolute position. Overall performance, repeatability and stability are excellent over the EEx rated temperature range -40°C to 80°C. The sensor and is sealed to IP67 and also offers excellent frequency response.
