This latest generation of APPLIED MEASUREMENT "MF" Modular Signal Conditioning systems is the result of over twenty years experience in designing, building and commissioning transducer based measurement systems. The "MF" System is a rugged, stand-alone package of diverse transducer and control technologies, tailored for your application. Inputs from resistive and strain gauge, transformer, pulse, and related transducer types can simply be combined in one Mainframe. Outputs, from basic industry standard analogue voltage and current signals, to complex intelligent control outputs, utilising on-board microprocessor technology, are available. Interfacing transducers with P.C.s, PLCs, and printers is made simple. "MF" Systems can also close the control loop in their own right. Each "MF" System is supplied on an "install, switch-on and run" basis. Every module is factory preset to match the user's transducers and to provide the required measurement and control signals. Subsequent fine adjustment is facilitated by the provision of behind panel controls. A comprehensive USERS MANUAL is included with each system. Later addition and/or modification of the system is generally possible to accommodate application changes. Flexibility in configuration and the vast number of options and variations available, preclude the inclusion of all possibilities in this publication. Examples follow of typical applications where a "tailored" MF System has provided the optimum link in measurement and control. SIGNAL CONDITIONING MODULES: The choice and mix of the following Signal Conditioning and Function Modules is limited only by the capacity of the mainframe chosen. Each module occupies one channel in the mainframe. 2044A for strain gauge type transducers (e.g. load cells, pressure transducers, accelerometers) . 2074A for LVOT, RVOT and other transformer type transducers such as transformer torque transducers. 2130 for pulse type transducers such as flow meters, velocity sensors and incremental encoders.
